Asset Based Community Development:
Children and Youth As Voices of Positive Change
Parents as stakeholders not bystanders
All plays and musicals productions are based on Social, Ethical and Language Arts Curriculum and State Standards.
Themes of musicals and plays are tied-into the United Nations Calendar (Human Rights, Earth, Environment, Race Unity, Eradication of Poverty, Disabilities, Advancement of Women etc).
Building upon the strengths and assets of the community, the Children's Theatre Company is based on a model of community development where parents viewed as stakeholders and not bystanders and are a vital part of the program.
Youth and young adults may join CTC's Internship program and receive high school and college credit for internships and community service credit.
Audition and Registration for the Children's Theatre Company is on-going
and open to children and youth from 6 years to 19 years old.
All children and siblings admitted into the program must submit a separate
application, a current medical release form and a talent-release form at the onset of their participation.
CTC is open to all children who
are motivated to learn, grow and explore the theatre and arts. The first
pre-requisite of audition is TEAMWORK not just talent.
